There is a group of websites where we can repeatedly get backlinks from. And they are the software directories. Many of whom have great page ranks 5 - 6 and 7. All we need to do is to submit a piece of software to them. 

The software directories need and want a large collection of software. It's the way they generate their revenue - by offering the largest collection available, getting people to visit and making money from advertisers.

We create a piece of custom software for each client (and no, it's not an expensive process). We submit the software to hundreds of software directories who in turn list it in their directory and create a backlink to your website. The software directories get software to list. The public gets access to great software and you get some great quality backlinks. It's simple. It's inexpensive. And it works.

THE TOOLBAR

We will create a custom browser toolbar that is branded with your name and your website. The toolbar will stay in front of your visitors every time their browser is loaded. The interactive "sticky" components invite people to use the toolbar frequently - and all the while your name & your site are prominently displayed.  The toolbar consists of 8 components:

1. Your Name & Link - in the top left hand corner - always prominent

2. A Customized Google Search Box - the search results show a customized page with your name on it

3. A Programmable Radio - lets people choose whatever type of music they want to hear

4. The Local Weather - keeps people informed about local weather conditions. Can be set to any city

5. A Games Panel with 30 games including Backgammon, Checkers, Darts, Poker, Tic Tac Toe, and more ...

6. A Gadgets Section with 20 gadgets including a calorie counter, a calculator, the NY Times Crossword, & more .

7. A Flickr Slide Show - allows visitors to see some amazing photography

8. TV Channels - watch US and UK TV stations online line CNN & NBC News.

WHAT WE NEED

We will need the following information for your submission:

1. Company Information: Basic company info - name, URL, address, phone, contact

2. Anchor Text - Landing Page: Choose a keyword phrase that you want to have linked back to your site. It will also appear as the name of your toolbar in the top left hand corner. The anchor text should represent a descriptive phrase that ties in with the content of the page you are promoting.

3. Upload Software: Once we have the toolbar created we will send you 2 files (one for Internet Explorer and one for Firefox) and they will need to be uploaded to your server (via FTP) so that users can download whichever version they wish. As soon as they are uploaded, let us know and we will start the submission. 

And that's it. We'll take care of the rest. Including building your branded toolbar, creating the software submission file (PAD) and submitting the toolbar to the software directories.
