A TRUE STORY
We had someone approach us to create
backlinks to help promote their site. It was an
insurance blog and they wanted to generate more
traffic. The site pulled in blog posts from an
article source. The problem was that the blog posts
were totally irrelevant to insurance. The posts were
literally about any topic whatsoever, motor bikes,
soccer tips, etc.
There was no unique content. There was no relevancy.
It was, frankly, a mishmash. The site was not
optimized - it wasn't even close.
There is no way in the world that
Google would want to list this site as a resource
for insurance. Not a chance. No matter how may
backlinks we created or how much they spent on
promotion - it was NEVER going to work.
Backlinks can and will help - but
they have to have a well optimized web page to start
