A blog carnival
is a type of blog event. It is similar to a
magazine, in that it is dedicated to a
particular topic, and is published on a
regular schedule, often weekly or monthly.
Each edition of a blog carnival is in the
form of a blog article that contains
permalinks to other blog articles on the
particular topic. (Ed Note: this is where
we get to create a backlink)
Not only can you
get a link from the host, but often other
participants will re-publish the carnival on
their blog - in turn getting you more
backlinks.

There is a long list
of carnivals that you can select from. Pick one
related to your niche (you will be able to
select other carnivals later but you can only
post to one at a time) - check to ensure that
the carnival is still active. |

Where it asks for
your Permalink URL enter the URL from one of
your blog posts |

Some of the fields
will be automatically populated directly from
the blog, others you will need to fill in |
|
|
5 |
Fill in the Remarks
section with a brief overview or summary of what
your article is all about and submit |
|
|
6 |
Then go back and
select another carnival in your niche and submit
either the same post or a different post to that
carnival. DON'T submit the same article to the
same carnival more than once. |
|
|
7 |
Do NOT submit
another post to the same carnival until AFTER
the carnival has been published. In other words
- you can submit another post - but only in the
next edition. |

Next week (assuming
the carnival publishes weekly) - repeat the
process using a different post. Submitting
different posts will help create deep linking
throughout your site |
